Week in Recap
- CLEANED MY ROOM and did my laundry. Although I do my laundry every week… but cleaning my room is tough. I have to begrudgingly set aside an hour or two and blast music to make it bearable. Also, I’ve discovered that no matter how clean your room is, the look really isn’t complete unless you’ve made your bed.
- Finally started exercising again after a long period of hibernation. Woooo.
- Spent time with my mom. :) Now that I’m making money, shopping with my mom is infinitely more satisfying than it used to be. Before, it’d go like:
Me: Can I buy this?
Mom: DON’T YOU HAVE SOMETHING THAT LOOKS LIKE THIS ALREADY?
Me: Yeah, but I don’t have this color yet!
Mom: Do you really NEED it? >:|
Me: Well, not but… oh… okay… :(
Now, I’m free to make all the impulse purchases I want AHAHA! Yeah, probably not a good thing. -_- - Successfully drank without being hungover the next day! Honestly this is probably the most exciting thing on the list.
- Going to a Wizards game tomorrow! First (and probably last) NBA game woooo… o_o
- Finished The Help and started Pride and Prejudice. I bought it at Borders over the summer but just got around to it! I love the convenience of the Kindle, but there’s a certain charm in reading classics from a real book. :) Anyway, Pride and Prejudice is surprisingly engaging so far. I remember I hated the movie but hopefully the book is redeeming!
- Was feeling capricious yesterday and decided to steer away from my daily Parks and Rec rewatching… so I opted for this movie Bronson instead. I’d have to classify it as a dark “comedy,” if you’re like me and find gore-riffic things that probably aren’t supposed to be funny, funny. It got a bit weird at times, but hey, it’s a movie about a sociopathic guy who spends most of his life in solitary confinement — pretty much what you’d expect! Also, mad props to Tom Hardy because he did some reeeeally CRAZY things and I think I’d be emotionally scarred if I were an actress and played that role.
- SNOW!!! I’ll admit that most of the appeal disappeared after my high school years, but seeing snow still manages to brighten my spirits in a way no other form of precipitation can (I guess that’s not saying much… but you know what I mean!). My dad and I would always make a giant snowball using all the snow on our lawn, and it’d stay put for days even when everything else melted.
Anyway that is all for now. I remember my Xanga used to be filled with such emotion/angst/joy/bipolarity. And now my life has been reduced to a laundry list of boring. OH WELL! At least there’s no drama which is enough to keep me more than happy! Wheeeee off to read and sleep goodbye!
